Golden Jubilee Cruise 2001

"Dr. Watson, Mr. Sherlock Holmes," said Stamford, introducing us.

"How are you?" he said cordially, gripping my hand with a strength for which I should hardly have given him credit. "You have been in Afganistan, I perceive."

"How on earth did you know that?" I asked in astonishment.

"Never mind," said he, chuckling to himself.

Well, we are not going to Afganistan, but we are going on a fabulous cruise around the Baltic on board the lovely liner Princess Danae! Leaving from Harwich, we are planning calls at Oslo, Tallin, St. Petersburg, Riga, and Kalliningrad before sailing back through the Kiel Canal to Harwich. The cruise is open to Society members, their families and friends, and will, of course, have a Holmesian theme – that is elementary! It promises to be a memorable event. Prices from £1,098 (US$1,758) per person.

Advance registration. To ensure that you receive all details of the Golden Jubilee Cruise as soon as they become available, send your contact details (name, address, telephone, e-mail) to Arena Travel, Freepost IH 1037, Felixstowe, Suffolk, IP11 7BR. Postage is free for letters posted in the UK. You can also e-mail your details to holmes@sherlockholmes.org.uk.
